Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies its results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains only the information included in that message and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services may record routine log information, including an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review it in aggregate for maintenance and usage patterns. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How Limited Data Is Used
That information helps operate the service, diagnose issues, measure traffic, and improve the reference. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Links lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search services. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to information submitted there, including through sponsored search results supplied by another company.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
Minnesota Consumer Data Privacy Act, Minn. Stat. §§325M.10–325M.21, provides defined access, correction, deletion, and opt-out rights for consumers dealing with covered businesses. Because this reference retains very little personal information, a request generally means checking the contact mailbox and relevant logs, then removing information we find where required. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Minnesota, Ramsey County, or White Bear Lake custodians are outside our control and must be addressed to the office that holds them.
